
WYOMING COURTS AND FEE INFORMATION
The Wyoming Courts are divided into Circuit Court, District Court, and the Wyoming Supreme Court.
Most of our Retail Collection litigation occurs in Circuit Court which has exclusive original jurisdiction for amounts in controversy not exceeding $50,000, exclusive of court costs. Wyo. Stat. Ann. § 5-9-128.
The District Court has jurisdiction over matters with an amount in controversy exceeding $50,000.
The following are the various costs associated with filing a case in either Circuit or District Court.
CIRCUIT COURT MANDATED FEES
If your case is equal to or under the amount of $50,000.00, your case will be filed in CIRCUIT COURT.
Mandatory Fees Applied in Circuit Court Are As Follows
• Filing a new case in Circuit Court - Initial Filing
o $ 40
• Filing a Bank or Wage garnishment
o $40, per garnishment filed
• Filing a Transcript of Judgment
o $40, per garnishment filed
• Filing a Transcript of Judgment
o $5 this charge will vary depending on the county it is filed in.
• Filing a Foreign Judgment
o Only done in district court
• Filing a Foreign Judgment
o Only done in district court

PROCESS SERVERS
At Silverman/Borenstein, we take pride in the work we send out with our process servers. They go through an extensive screening process when they are hired. Our process servers are hired as independent contractors and are not employed by Silverman/Borenstein.
We use multiple servers and we monitor and track their proficiency with the legal documents that are sent out with them. Our process servers are prompt with returns of service and serving all legal documents.
