Mr. Borenstein enjoys AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest peer review rating for attorneys for ethical standards and legal ability.
Mr. Borenstein has practiced law in Colorado for 29 years. He represents creditors in both retail and commercial matters in Colorado as well as in several other states. His clientele further spans the insurance industry in subrogation matters, primarily focused on auto and property. He also represents individual entities in defense of claims brought under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. He has lectured frequently on creditors' rights issues. Mr. Borenstein is a contributing author for Lawyers' Professional Liability in Colorado on the topic of Creditors' Rights and Debt Collection.
Mr. Borenstein graduated from Binghamton University and graduated with honors from Vermont Law School in 1980. He is admitted to practice in New York and Colorado. Mr. Borenstein is a member of the Commercial Law League of America, the General Bar, the National List, NARCA, and is an ACA MAP member. Mr. Borenstein is a member of the Thompson G. Marsh Inn of Court where he was a co-chair lawyer mentoring program. Mr. Borenstein is a member of the Denver and Colorado Bar Associations.
Mr. Borenstein serves on the Board of Directors for Congregation Rodef Shalom and is a member of Denver Community Kollel, an institute for advanced Torah study where he has lectured on the issue of business ethics.
