EXPERIENCE & AREAS OF FOCUS
Mr. Allen's practice focuses on commercial litigation and creditor's rights. In his career as a litigator, Mr. Allen has represented clients in civil and criminal matters in both federal and state courts. He also has extensive experience with appellate practice, researching and filing briefs in the California Court of Appeals, the Colorado Supreme Court, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Colorado Court of Appeals, and the Colorado Division of Administrative Hearings. Through his diverse practice, Mr. Allen has developed an expertise in sophisticated regulatory issues, including compliance with HIPAA, the FDCPA, and FCC regulation regarding unsolicited facsimile transmissions.
Prior to joining Silverman/Borenstein, Mr. Allen was employed with LexisNexis as a legal editor writing case law summaries and case notes from opinions collected from LEXIS. Mr. Allen's work with LexisNexis was integral to the corporation's goal of establishing a legal research database that is second to none the North American legal market.
